Cookie Policy

This page explains which cookies the site uses and why. In short: we use the bare minimum to make it work, the basic statistics are anonymous and cookieless, and statistics cookies are enabled only if you allow it.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files a site saves on your device. They make some features work (for example keeping you signed in) or, in other cases, collect usage statistics. The law distinguishes between necessary technical cookies, which do not require consent, and statistics or profiling cookies, which do.

1. Necessary technical cookies

They are essential for the site to work and stay always on, without needing consent.

• pm_news_session

  Keeps you signed in to the reserved area after you register, so you don't have to sign in on every page. It is created only if you register.

  Duration: up to 90 days

• pm_consent

  Remembers your cookie choices (which categories you allowed), so we don't ask again on every visit. Created only when you make a choice; renewed after about 6 months or if the policy changes.

  Duration: 6 months

2. Anonymous, cookieless statistics

To understand how many people visit the site and how it performs, we use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights: they measure in an aggregated, anonymous way, without cookiesand without profiling you. That's why your consent is not needed.

3. Statistics cookies (only with your consent)

Only if you consent from the banner do we enable Google Analytics, which helps us understand how the site is used. You can refuse and the site still works. If you don't see any banner, it means Google Analytics is not active and the site stays without statistics cookies.

• _ga, _ga_*

  Google Analytics cookies: they distinguish visits in a pseudonymous way to produce aggregated usage statistics. They are installed only after your consent.

  Duration: up to 2 years

4. How to manage or withdraw consent

When the banner appears you can choose Accept or Reject. You can change your mind at any time: delete the site's cookies from your browser settings (Privacy or Cookies section) and, on your next visit, the banner will reappear. From the same browser panel you can also block or remove cookies already present; note that blocking the necessary ones may prevent access to the reserved area.

To be able to prove that a choice was actually made, we keep a record of consents: the choice, the date and the version of this policy. Your IP address is never stored in clear text — only an irreversible code derived from it. We keep this record for 5 years, then delete it: an automated routine runs every month and removes whatever is past that term.
